One of the 14 highest peaks in the world Mt. Annapurna (8091m) and the journey to Annapurna Base Camp is the most famous trekking destination in Nepal. The trek is very pleasant passing through the cascading waterfalls, beautiful villages, farmlands, rhododendron forests and the spectacular panoramic Mountain View the trek begins from the famous City of Lakes, Pokhara.

Autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May) are regards as the best seasons for this trek due to the pleasant weather. Although winters might be a bit harsh, trekkers also prefer to trek during winters i.e. December to February so as to avoid the crowd.

DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

DAY 2: Drive/Fly to Pokhara

DAY 3: Drive to Nayapul- Trek to Ulleri (2050 m) approx 6 hrs trek

DAY 4: Trek to Ghorepani(2,750 m/ 9,020 ft): approx 5 hours trek

DAY 5: Trek to Tadapani – Visit Poonhill (3,210m): approx 7 hour

DAY 6: Tadapani to Chhomrong(2170m): approx 6 hours trek

DAY 7: Trek to Dovan (2,600 m) – approx 5 hours walk.

DAY 8: Trek to Deurali (3,200 m) – approx. 6 hours walk.

DAY 9: Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp(3,700m) – approx. 4-5 hrs

DAY 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo 5 hrs walk.

DAY 11: Descend to Jhinu Danda (the Hot Spring)approx. 6 hours walk

DAY 12: Descend to Pothana approx. 6 hours walk

DAY 13: Descend to Phedi – Drive to Pokhara

DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
On arrival to the Tribhuvan International Airport our representative will welcome you and escort you to your Hotel. Then you will be briefed about the full itinerary and you will also have a chance to meet with your trek guide. You can clear all your doubts and then relax and take proper rest for the next day.

DAY 2: Drive/Fly to Pokhara
After breakfast we will drive towards Pokhara. The drive is pleasant, filled with beautiful scenery. You can also take a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. It is a short 30 minutes fight. If you fly to Pokhara you will have enough time to explore Pokhara and do sightseeing around the Valley as well. We will stay the night in Pokhara itself.

DAY 3: Drive to Nayapul- Trek to Ulleri (2050 m) approx 6 hrs trek
After breakfast we will drive to Nayapul, our trekking starting point. We pass through subtropical valley forests. Crossing the Modi Khola (river) via a suspension bridge we reach the village of Tikhedhunga and then we will be able to see the Ulleri Hill with thousands of steps. Climbing those thousand steps is a bit challenging but when you look back the scenery is worth all the sweat. After all the climbing we reach Ulleri by late afternoon. We will spend rest of the night in Ulleri itself.

DAY 4: Trek to Ghorepani(2,750 m/ 9,020 ft): approx 5 hours trek
Ghorepani meaning ‘horse-water’, is our destination for the day. After breakfast we will ascend towards Ghorepani. Divided into two parts, one in a saddle and the other a few hundred feet lower; Ghorepani is an important campsite for traders, and thus we can see a number of small shops and stalls that sells local products and crafts. We stop at the higher part of the Ghorepani village that offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains including Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains. We put an end to our journey for today on this spot and rest and prepare for the next day.

DAY 5: Trek to Tadapani – Visit Poonhill (3,210m): approx 7 hours
Early in the morning we take a steep trail to Poonhill to catch the sunrise over the Himalayas. Poon Hill is the most popular trekking destination of the Annapurna region; it is admired as the best viewpoint for the amazing views of Mustang, Pokhara and more than 20 of the highest mountains including the close-up views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After getting blessed by the majestic view of snowy peaks of the high mountains glowing as the sun rays strikes on them we descend back to Ghorepani for breakfast. After breakfast we descend through rhododendron forests, pass by spectacular waterfalls and reach Tadapani to spend the night.

DAY 6: Tadapani to Chhomrong(2170m): approx 6 hours trek
A steep descend through a dense rhododendron forest opens up to perfectly manicured terraced fields on the way to Chhomrong. Ascending steadily and passing through a few surging waterfalls will lead us to a suspension bridge, a few more miles of uphill and downhill trek and we reach Chhomrong, a beautiful village located at the lap of the giant Annapurna massive.

DAY 7: Trek to Dovan (2,600 m) – approx 5 hours walk.
Today the trail descends to the Chhomrong Khola  via 2500 stone steps and swaying the suspension bridge. As we continue to climb to Kuldighar at 2380m, we will reach ACAP Check post. After this point the trek is a continuous descent to Dovan. We will spend our night at Dovan itself.

DAY 8: Trek to Deurali (3,200 m) – approx. 6 hours walk.
Initially on this day we pass through the bamboo forest then we ascend steadily to rhododendron forest. On reaching Himalaya Hotel the forest opens up and we are out in the sun again with astounding views of the glacial river below. A steep climb up through a much drier forest will lead us to Hinku Cave; after this point the trail drop closer to the river before we climb to Deurali, we will spend rest of the night in Deurrali itself.

DAY 9: Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp(3,700m) – approx. 4-5 hrs.
Today is the day we will visit two base camps i.e. Annapurna Base Camp and Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Gently climbing thorough a river bed followed by a steep trail over to the mountain side and a short hike from Bazar will lead us to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From Machhapuchhre base camp we get excellent views of the majestic Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Fish Tail along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna which is certainly a rewarding. As we enter the Annapurna sanctuary, we get sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above us. From Annapurna Base Camp we are again mesmerized by the glimps of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other peaks. We will spend our night at the base camp itself.

DAY 10: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo 5 hrs walk.
From the Annapurna base camp we follow the same route to Bamboo, our destination for the day. It is a very pleasant descend. On reaching Bamboo we will explore around the hidden valley of Bamboo and then spend the night here.

DAY 11: Descend to Jhinu Danda (the Hot Spring)approx. 6 hours walk
As we move down from Bamboo passes through forests filled with rhododendron, oaks and bamboo plants followed by an uphill walk to Kuldighar and then again downhill walk to Chhomrong Khola. Followinf the stone step to Chhomrong follows the trail then descends to Jhinu Danda. Today we will have an opportunity to enjoy hot springs just 15-20 minute downhill walk from Jhinu Danda to soothe our aching body and relax for the rest of the night at Jhinu Danda itself.

DAY 12: Descend to Pothana approx. 6 hours walk
Descending and then walking through the flat land we reach Himal Pani with a beautiful cascading waterfall our trail then ascends gently crossing numerous streams and terraces. After a short trek, we then reach Landruk (1640m.), a village inhabited by a mixed ethnic community of Gurung, Magar and Brahmin. Now the trail gently ascends to Tolka (1850m). The trail becomes steeply to Deurali (2100m) as we view different mountain peaks gleaming in the sunshine & then the trail gradually descends to Pothana passing through different oak forests where we prepare.

DAY 13: Descend to Phedi – Drive to Pokhara
On this day we will descend from Pothana. Descending through a wide stone paved path passing through farm villages we reach Phedi from where we drive back to Pokhara.

DAY 14: Drive to Kathmandu
On this day we will be driving back to Kathmandu. If you want you can enjoy sightseeing around Pokhara on this day. You can also fly back to Kathmandu. It is a 30 minutes short flight and there are various flight departing from Pokhara to Kathmandu on a regular basis.

DAY 15: Final Departure
