Manaslu is a challenging trekking holiday around Manaslu in the Nepal’s Himalaya. It is the eighth tallest mountain in the World 8163 m. It is Located close to the border with Tibet, It’s an amazingly beautiful trek, with stunning views of Mount Manaslu (8163 m) and the Ganesh Himal Range, among others. Manaslu circuit trek begins in the town of Aarughat Bazaar and ends in Besisahar, the starting point for the Annapurna circuit. .The trekking will start walking from the low altitude, passing through green landscapes, and passing through numbers of tiny villages until you get back to the ending point of the trek. You can enjoy seeing the beutiful alpine meadows and small Tibetan-style villages the trail reaches Samagaon, the biggest and most important village in the region. From here, you will go west and cross the Larke Pass (5160 m), a classic and tough route linking the Budi Gandaki with the Marsyangdi valley. The descent passes through gorgeous alpine pasture at Bimtang, prior to joining the main Annapurna Circuit route and heading to the trailhead at Besi Sahar.

The trek can be longer or shorter, depending on the time taken of your walking days.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu [1,300m]

Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola [710m] 8 - 9 hours

Day 4:
Soti Khola - Maccha Khola [900m]: 6 - 7 hours

Day 5:
  Maccha Khola -Jagat [1410m]: 6 - 7 hrs

Day 6:
  Jagat - Deng [1,804m]: 6 - 7 hrs

Day 7:
Deng - Namrung [2630m]: 6 - 7 hrs

Day 8:
  Namrung – Samagaon [3530m]: 6-7 hours

Day 9:
  Samagaon - Pungyen gompa - Samagaon: 6 - 7 hours exploration

Day 10:
  Samagaon - Samdo [3860m]: 4 - 5 hours

Day 11: 
Samdo - Dharamsala/Larkya B. C. [4460m]: 4 - 5 hours

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu [1,300m]

Our Representative will come to the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel. After checking in, you will take a rest or visit Great outdoor’s office. In the evening, walk around the thamel which is main touristic Hub. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu: Full day Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

In this day after breakfast we will start sightseeing   a guided tour to some of the most historical and religious attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous Monkey Temple (Swayambhunath) and Buddhist holy place (Bouddhanath) which is one of the largest stupas in the world are listed as the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.we will be at Great outdoor’s office at  afternoon for trek preparation and meet guide and porter .  Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Sotikhola [710m] 8 - 9 hours

In the Early Morning drive to Sotikhola  on the way  we will enjoy views of the Nepalese countryside along with the mountain sceneries. We will be driving on a cemented road from Kathmandu to Dhading Bensi, district headquarter of Dhading (1050m) but the drive from Dhanding Bensi to Arughat the road is rough .  We will cross the Arughat, a major town of the local region we will drive further towards Sotikhola. Overnight in Soti Khola.

Day 4: Soti Khola - Maccha Khola [900m]: 5 - 6 hours

After breakfast, our trek will start to Machakhhola on the way we will cross the bridge, we trek through the beautiful Sal forests, then climb onto a ridge above huge rapids on the Budhi Gandaki. We then reach Khursane within hour of walking which the rocky trail weaves its way up and down, we will cross two tropical waterfalls on a steep. After about Two hours of walking, we will reach to the Gurung village of Labubesi. To reach Macha Khola we will walk up and down along with bank of Budhi Gandaki River   we head down again to the river and cross another suspension bridge to reach Machha Khola village. Overnight in Machha Khola.

Day 5:  Maccha Khola -Jagat [1410m]: 6 - 7 hrs

We will trek through the narrow trail makes some minor ups and downs and eventually crosses the Tharo Khola and reaching Khorlabesi. After a few more ascends and descends we come across a small Hotspring in Tatopani. From the hot spring, we go up over another ridge, then cross the Budhi Gandaki on a suspension bridge. Now, we climb on a wide, well-crafted staircase, then across a landslide and over a ridge to Dobhan. Upon crossing a suspension bridge over the Yaru Khola, we climb the stone stairs and then drop to the river and again climb more stone stairs to Tharo Bharyang. Crossing the west bank of the Budhi Gandaki, we climb over a ridge, trek along the river and then climb towards the village of Jagat. Overnight in Jagat

Day 6:  Jagat - Deng [1,804m]: 6 - 7 hrs

We begin today’s trek by climbing over a rocky ridge to Salleri, and then descend to Sirdibas. We further continue walking upstream to a long suspension bridge in Philim, a beautiful society of Gurung selltements. The trail now goes through a steep, uninhabited gorge from Ekle Bhatti. We then descend to the grassy land slopes, cross the Budhi Gandaki. We pass through bamboo forests to the Deng Khola. Finally, we reach at small village of Deng.

Day 7: Deng - Namrung [2630m]: 6 - 7 hrs   

We will leave Deng after breakfast; we cross the Budi Gandaki many times and pass through forest along the route. The trail follows the river upstream through a dense forest. The enjoyable walk after crossing the river at an inspiring spot where it thunder down a narrow gorge continues after a final steep climb, we reach Namrung. Namrung village is a excellent standpoint for Siringi Himal  , Ganesh Himal and  distant Mt. Himal Chuli in the south.

Day 8:  Namrung – Samagaon [3530m]: 6-7 hours

Namrung village is an excellent standpoint for Siring and Ganesh Himal and from the village one can also see Mt. Himal Chuli in the south. We reach Lihi after some climbing steadily and pass through forests, an excellent village with many chortens and barley terraces. We pass through  Sho, Lho and Shyala villages before reaching Sama Village. We explore the famous Ribung Gompa enjoying with amazing views of Mt. Manaslu from Lho village. In Shyala village, we will be surrounded by high mountains like Himal Chuli and Peak 29 called Ngadi Chuli to the left, Manaslu and large glaciers straight ahead, and other peaks to the right, and distant Ganesh Himal. We will spend night at samagaon .

Day 9:  Samagaon - Pungyen gompa - Samagaon: 6 - 7 hours exploration

We will spend one more day at Samagaon for both rest and acclimatization. This day, we are up to date with the rich Sherpa culture. We take pleasure in the sight of thousands of mani stones with Buddhist texts and pictures and the Sherpa women wearing clothes in traditional clothes and ornaments. We will visit an old Gompa (Pungyen Gompa), a monastery with great views of the glacier. Overnight stay in Samagaon.

Day 10:  Samagaon - Samdo [3860m]: 4 - 5 hours

In this day, the trek is comparatively easy. We go down to the Budhi Gandaki River. It is an easy trail on a shelf above the river passing the juniper and birch forests of Kermo Kharka. We will cross the Budhi Gandaki Bridge and ascend steeply onto an outcrop between two branches of the river. Finnaly Passing by the kani we reach Samdo.

Day 11:  Samdo - Dharamsala/Larkya B. C. [4460m]: 4 - 5 hours

Today, we go on walk down the edge, cross the wooden bridge over Budi Gandaki and begin walking uphill. We will pass by two streams and eye witnessing the Larkya Glacier; we go around the Salka Khola valley and go up again to the shelter called Dharmshala, also known as Larke Phedi. Todays short walk will be worth to acclimatized and relaxing in the afternoon.

Day 12:  Dharamsala - Larkya la [5160m] - Bimthang [3720m]: 8 - 9 hours

After a short ascend, we will reach a valley on the north side of the Larkya Glaciers from where we can see immense views of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. The track is gradual up from the glacier until we cross the Lyarke pass. From lyarke pass, there are outstanding great views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kangguru and the huge Annapurna II. Rest of the track is easy until we trek to Bimthang from where we can see outstanding great panoramic views of Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal. Overnight in Bimthang.

Day 13: Bimthang - Tilije [2300m]: 5 - 6 hours

From Bimthang, we can take pleasure in great views of Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, Himlung Himal and Cheo Himal. We hike through rhododendron forest and follow a trail through a narrow valley until we reach the highest cultivated land of the valley at Karche, 2785 meters. We make a steep climb over a ridge being wide bend to the riverbank at 2580m and reach Tilje village around two hours of leisure walking further. Stay overnight at Tiljie.

Day 14:  Tilije - Tal [1700m]: 5 - 6 hours

We will pass through a beautiful village, then cross the bridge over Dudh Khola and climb up through a chorten-shaped arch, pass a mani wall and reach Thonje village. At this point, we go through a police check post and keep on toward Dharapani, and enter to the Annapurna Region. Further, down, we come across Karte village and after moderately a bit of walking we cross a bridge over Marshyangdi Khola. We will reach the village of Tal; it is located at the foot of a large waterfall.

Day 15:  Tal - Syange [1080m]: 6 - 7 hours

On this day, we follow the trail to Chyamje village crossing the Marshyangdi Khola . The Marsyandi valley opens with its terrace fields and villages clung very high to the hillsides. The trail then descends through rhododendron and and pine forests to Syange. Overnight in Syange

Day 16: Syange - Kathmandu: 8-9 hours

Drive to Kathmandu via Besi Sahar offers one an opportunity to enjoy both hill and mountain landscapes. On the way, we will follow along the banks of the Marsyangdi and Trishuli rivers. We will enjoy to seeing some beautiful villages with farming terraces on both sides of the road until you reached the Kathmandu.  To celebrate the successful completion of our journey, we will have a farewell Nepali Culture dinner in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 17: Final departure

A representative from Great Outdoor will drop to you to the airport approximately 3 hours before the flight scheduled.
